Contemporary design combined with natural materials is definitely my style. Designed to avoid mal du Suisse with luxurious but inexpensive accommodation. All this gets completed with the interrogation of mindboggling bathroom concept – a Bath which is divided by a caved plywood sheet with two entrances.

The design itself, relaxing and spacious comfort, words-can’t-express and etc is without doubt enough reasons to escape in to the mounts of Graubunden, Lenzerheide Hotel Schweizerhof, either in a summer for a hike or skiing in Winter.

Yet for a small city hotel what inspired of cause is the creative bathroom concept featuring a glass partition between the bathroom and the bedroom integrating the bathroom into the atmosphere of the room as a whole. If you’re a couple, one could enjoy watching the other in the shower while lying in bed – if you know what I mean :D

If you intend to use any of these mountain-huts toilet be prepared with your own tissues. Especially in peak seasons, some toilets run out of tissues, let alone hand cleaners or dry towels. It’s always better to be prepared. A nose clip would help the unfriendly smell which is brutal mainly when the weather drops down which is mostly the case during the evenings and early mornings.

My worst experience was at Gspaltenhornhütte. It is nicely decorated, which is positive, but the Pissoir and the Toilet is situated separately, right at the cliff and unfortunately with no warm water. The toilet was generally wet so the floor often mixes with water and mud.

Even though these are the facts that you may encounter, don’t panic, just do your thing and never look behind the toilet cliff – you really don’t want to know what those flying crows are feeding on!

Additional to the fabulous bathrooms, the hotel is only accessible by water. The 58 pool villas are situated on the beach front, on the hillside and over rock formations in which private swimming pools have been crafted. Several hilltop villas located near the Six Senses Spa have personal Spa Suites. It’s definitely a effing hideaway!

Overall it was definitely a great experience with a little disappointment if you need to use the toilets when you’re on the road touring. The country needs to develop its public toilet system for travellers. I would suggest making your stop in well established restaurant or hotel. To avoid the bad experience, please request at least 10 minutes before your need to the driver!

The worst experience is when you get your chance to use it the toilet runs out of supplies and normally it never clean after 200 and first passenger. When you’re stuck in there with no supplies, you know you can’t come out to get some because there is a queue outside waiting for the same purpose. That is not the greatest flying experience you would expect.

To be really honest, I haven’t had any bad experience so far like the one on the picture… If you had any experience worth sharing, please be my standup!

The toilets in the restaurant up in the mountains of Lenzerheide, Rodelbahn Pradaschier, seized my interest with their creativeness. The sign outside the toilet door to distinguish the male’ and female’ toilets was innovative! Inside the toitel (Men’s) was clean!

If you ever get the chance to visit the world’s longest Rodelbahn in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, please take a visit at the Restaurant to experience their creativeness … and leave me a comment!

The most popular toilets are made by Toto, American Standard, Kohler, ELjer, Crane, Gerber, Porcher, and Duravit.

I personally do not care about the brand, shape or size of the toilet but it has to be hygienic. Mostly the public toilets aren’t well cleaned. However, in general, there are certain countries, cities, airports which are rated as hygienic. Besides, there are curtain hotels, restaurants and bars which try to attract customers by representing its cleanliness.

After my experience and the limited information on this topic, I would like to share with you my experiences/comments on public/private toilets which I would come across that you should avoid or use!
